Project: Bird Hide at Broadfields

Location: Top Pond Broadfields, Pike Lane, Upminster, RM14 3NS

Activity: To clear vegetation to improve sight lines around pond, to erect new bird hide on far side.

Aim: To give a better view of pond and provide a hide for observation and photography.

Who benefits: Wildlife group and all visitors to site.

Results. The pond banks have been opened light let in and a new hide constructed.

 

Notes.

Hut built by Rainham Sheds erected and painted by volunteers who also spent 2 days clearing bank and leveling base area.

Veolia Trust Grant money used.

More work to be done around pond.
