Project: ‘Roundhouse’ build in school playing field
Location: Broadford School, Farringdon Avenue, Harold Hill , Romford. (Grid ref 539/915)
Activity: Design and construction of modern version of Celtic roundhouse using large round poles and hazel hurdles for walls and ply board with straw cladding for roof. Benches constructed using railway sleepers.
Aim of the project: To create interesting outdoor structure for pupils/ teachers to use, in a previously unused area of the school.
Who benefits?: Pupils of school
Result: Work carried out in Summer 2015/ will be used for variety of purposes in future years.
