Volunteering Day at Thames Chase Community Forest Centre

Sunday 7th April 10am-2pm

Volunteering is the ‘life blood’ of Thames Chase Community Forest

‘The fantastic work of local volunteers in restoring London’s lost landscapes and making green space accessible to all’ was celebrated by a local MP Julia Lopez on a recent visit to the Forest Centre with the secretary of state for the environment, Michael Gove.

If you are looking to use your efforts in a fresh and rewarding way, come along and speak to those who are already volunteering and help us to leave a legacy for the future The opportunities to get involved are endless including:

  • Conservation work
  • Developing the Community Tree Nursery
  • Assisting with facility management at the Forest Centre
  • Office Support and general administration
  • Assisting in running the Visitor Centre and shop
  • Managing and supporting a wide range of events
  • Supporting the education and children’s activities programme
  • Exploring, mapping and leading walks
  • Supporting the health and well-being programme .....and lots more opportunities.
