We're welcoming all women to get cycle-confident at this special session at Thames Chase

Due to the expected hot weather, we are cancelling this event. No alternative date has yet been confirmed, but we will update here and across social media when arranged.

Part of the Mayor of London's National Park City Festival.

Time: 10:30-14:30

This event is free, and donations are welcome

Car parking available on site all day (£2)

Please register in advance if you are planning on attending.

This special summer event will be a great opportunity for women to get cycle-confident with our qualified cycling instructors and activity coordinators in the beautiful Thames Chase Community Forest followed by tea and cake.

Take in the views and surroundings of the picturesque woodland and wildflower meadows across the Broadfields site – while keeping one eye on the path in front of you, at least! – for an exciting and empowering cycling event to improve your skills on the saddle.

Bikes are available to hire at other times, or you can bring your own and join in the fun.

You might not be ready for the Tour de France following by the end of the day, but we hope you’ll be more confident at getting around town or into nature on two wheels for the rest of the summer and beyond.

Thames Chase Community Forest comprises of over 40 square miles of woodland, meadow and wetland habitats through South West Essex and East London.

For more information about Thames Chase and the facilities at the Forest Centre site, visit the website and connect with us on social media: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, and via the hashtag #ThamesChase
