Playschemes

We stage a wide range of playscheme events during every school holiday; including half-terms but excluding the Christmas/New Year period. The events are targeted at children aged 8 to 12, but younger children are welcome if accompanied by an adult. Indeed, most events are perfectly suited to these younger children with a little bit of extra help from a parent of guardian, and we have regulars as young as 4!

The playscheme events are themed, usually focusing on wildlife and the environment, and often involve an arts and crafts session. We are constantly inventing new events that will appeal to our wide age range of children, with the aim of getting all children to explore and enjoy their natural environment. Past events have included visiting bats, ferrets, bees and owls, a family night walk and a visit from the Essex Wildlife Hospital.

Please ensure you book children onto any events they wish to attend and make payment before the event. If for some reason, children cannot subsequently attend, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can offer the places to other children on the waiting list.
