Thurrock Museum is a local history Museum, located in Grays, that focuses on the local heritage of the historic area of Thurrock. The museum is operated by Thurrock Council and has a large collection of objects ranging from stone-age archaeology to modern social history. The museum is open six days a week and is free to visit. Please check opening times before you travel. Our team of hard-working and knowledgeable volunteers research and display temporary exhibitions on the ground floor. These change regularly and share a wealth of local expertise benefitting regular visitors.
