Here you can explore the variety of places to visit within this area. From woods such as Cely, Folkes Lane, Bonnets, Tylers and Ingrebourne Hill run by the Forestry Commission, to heritage sites such as the Upminster Windmill and Tithe Barn.

Upminster is also home to the Forest Centre - the heart of the Community Forest. Here, and nearby at Stubbers Adventure Centre, there is loads to do, from all sorts of outdoor activites to book and get involved with.

Upminster

Contains a mix of arable farmland and grazing both in public ownership and private land. The landscape is made up from diverse elements forming a varied and attractive edge to the adjoining urban area.

These Elements include arable crops, grasslands, scrub and woods linked by local footpaths. The Ingrebourne Valley forms a distinct valley with its meadows and broad open arable fields adjacent to the meandering river channel.
