Volunteering in Thames Chase

If you have some spare time and energy, you can put this to good use in many different ways, to help your local Community Forest become an even better place to live and work.

There are many ways in which you could help us at Thames Chase by giving some of your time. Coming and working at the Thames Chase Forest Centre café and shop, providing a warm welocme to visitors is a great way to meet new people and helps us enormously. Have a look at the Forest Centre Volunteers page for more details.

You might also be interested in doing some conservation work with our conservation volunteer group, or giving some time to help the busy Thames Chase education service.

Several of the community woodland sites in Thames Chase operate volunteer warden or "friends of" schemes. Examples include Berwick Woods, Harold Court Woods and Pages Wood. See Out and About to find out if there are any local sites you might like to get involved with. In the first instance, contact the site’s manager to find out more.

Lastly, there are almost endless other, one-off possibilities of how you might get involved with Thames Chase. This could range from a two-week school work experience placement, to a long-term secondment from a local business. Just give us a call on 01708 641880 or e-mail us with some initial information about yourself.
